A few simple tips on how to shop for the healthiest foods for your family.
When it comes down to it, choosing the healthiest foods for your family isn’t all that difficult. According to pediatrician Dr. Cheryl Mutch, co-author of Good Foods to Go the best foods in a supermarket are generally the easiest ones to find and are right at your finger tips when step inside a store. “Definitely keep to the circumference of the store because that’s where you’re going to find the produce and the dairy, even the frozen fruits and vegetables. Those are better options than the things that are down the middle like the snack aisle. I think it’s a really great idea to not go to the grocery store when you’re really hungry because then you are less able to resist the urge to perhaps buy something that looks good but perhaps might not be a good choice nutritionally for the family. Take a list with you and plan ahead.”
