Camping with Kids

Why time in the great outdoors brings families closer together.

Camping with Kids

There’s something about camping as a family that is truly special.  Time just seems to slow down when we’re in Mother Nature, and some of our best memories are built right along side those tents and campfires. Dr. Harley Rotbart, pediatrician and author of No Regrets Parenting elaborates. “I believe that when kids are in a tent or in an RV, they are yours to do with what you want, and what you want is to learn from them, and to teach them, to play games with them and to have fun with, to explore with them and to experience with them. And, parks in general provide that experience. Even the local park that you walk to from your home, but certainly the park that you drive to, to camp at,  provides an escape. And kids are not looking for exotic and expensive; kids are looking for you on vacation, give them yourself.”
