A few tips for driving safely with your family this winter.
Driving in winter can pose its hazards. Which is why you’ll want to make sure that your battery and tires are in good shape, and you have a full tank of gas with gas-line antifreeze, especially when on out of town trips with your family. Timothy Smith, author of Crash Proof Your Kids elaborates on safe winter driving.”Number one, make sure your tires are inflated properly and understand that snow tires are going to be far better than all weather radials in all hazardous situations, especially snow. Number two, make sure you’ve got in your trunk some emergency supplies such as flares, blankets, sand, something that can get you out of a ditch, a shovel. You never know when that stuff is going to happen. Those are probably the two most important things to make sure that when you set out on a family trip in the winter, in case of emergency, you’re covered.”
