American College of Nurse-Midwives - The mission of ACNM is to promote the health and well-being of women and infants within their families and communities through the development and support of the profession of midwifery as practiced by certified nurse-midwives, and certified midwives. The philosophy inherent in the profession states that nurse-midwives believe every individual has the right to safe, satisfying health care with respect for human dignity and cultural variations.

Doula CARE (Canadian Registry, Association and Education) - Educating the public, health care community and third party insurers as to the benefits of doula presence for childbearing women and their families.

Midwifery Today - Midwifery Today's mission is to return midwifery care to its rightful position in the family; to make midwifery care the norm throughout the world; and to redefine midwifery as a vital partnership with women.
