Unplugged Family Vacation

How to plan the perfect summer vacation without a big budget.

Unplugged Vacations

With summer vacation right around the corner, you may be scrambling to come up with the perfect family holiday. But here’s a thought. Instead of focusing on a destination, focus on enjoying time with your kids and living life differently from the day-to-day. In other words, unplug and just be together says Dr. Harley Rotbart, author of No Regrets Parenting. “We should define a vacation as something that’s different than everyday, and if we, on vacation behave the way we do everyday, that is we are plugged into our email and plugged into our ipods, and plugged into our video games, the kids may be having fun but the reality is that that’s what you do everyday. What we should do on vacation is strive to unplug and strive to do things purely devoted to time dedicated and uninterrupted with our kids.”
